# Settings

Settings can be accessed by clicking on the ![Settings Icon](img/settings.svg) icon in the [Navigation Bar](functionality_overview.md#navigation-bar).

- Highlight all quotations
  - When this option is turned on and a scholarly text is selected, all quotes from the scholarly work are highlighted in the literary work.
- Highlight short quotations
  - When this option is turned on and no scholarly work is selected, all short quotations, that is, quotations with less than 5 word, are highlighted in the literary work. 
- Display not quoted text blurred
  - When this option is turned on, text which is never quoted is displayed blurred and only shown clearly while hovered over. 
- Hide scrollbars
  - When this option is turned on, the scrollbars are hidden.
- Show scene markers
  - When this option is turned on and the current literary work is a play, then there are scene markers shown in the  heatmap.
